What are the Dixie Music Boosters?
The Dixie Music Boosters are a parent run organization that help to fund and support the music and drama students at Dixie High School.
Money raised with the boosters contributes to student trips, department equipment, band camp, uniforms, and drama needs.
By volunteering with the music boosters, you can earn shares to help pay for your student's needs, such as band camp, uniforms, trips, and other needs.
Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and students 14 and up can work concessions to earn shares (valued at $10 for each hour worked) to pay for band camp and choir/band/drama trips. Students ages 12 and 13 who have not previously worked concessions must work soccer concessions in order to qualify to work football. This year the students will be traveling to Disney. Any adult or teen who works concessions will sign in and out when working concessions. (Teens must be 16 or older to work at UD and must wear closed toed shoes and pants.) The hours worked are calculated and assigned to the designated student by the treasurer of the boosters, Glen Hughes. When the trip or camp nears, the boosters will provide the teacher with a letter to give to your student with the value of the shares earned that will be applied to the trip.
